Cameroonian writer Djaïli Amadou Amal has won the Orange Book Award in Africa for his book "Munyal, the tears of patience", published by Proximité in 2017. The jury described the novel as “A strong, sincere, rebellious voice, served by a language that promotes its culture.” The Award launched in October 2018 reflects our desire to work to promote literary talent in Africa and encourage the local publishing industry.
