A wonderful experience on a human level

Nicolas works with Orange Solidarité in Narbonne and talks to us about his experience as a volunteer.

Nicolas, volunteer with the Orange Solidarité association in Narbonne

"It was after the Hello Tour in Montpellier in 2010 and after a presentation of the Orange Foundation and different mentoring opportunities that I decided to become a volunteer with the Orange Solidarité association in Narbonne.

My first experience led me to help the Aide Mutuelle à l’Insertion (AMI) association in order to fight against the digital divide. It really won me over! A wonderful experience on a human level. And it provides significant personal enrichment.
Giving others something without expecting anything in return, it’s really different to the business world where everything is focused on making money. The experience of giving of oneself through volunteering helps you to get more in touch with your inner self. This is why I continue to invite my colleagues to take part in this major outpouring of solidarity, which makes us truly human. It’s also a moment of pride to see that my company does some good for those who need it most through the Foundation!!!

In addition, I was supported by the group of colleagues who took part in this wonderful adventure and I will always remember that... I thank them!!!”
