Committed to supporting literature and integration through reading

The Foundation has been involved for over 10 years in the world of books, encouraging meetings between authors and readers from all backgrounds.

Supporting literature by helping authors…and readers!

We help young French authors by promoting them through the "Prix Orange du Livre" (Orange Book Prize). Each year, the prizewinner, chosen namely by Internet users, is awarded €15,000, and also benefits from a promotional campaign. With the Prize, around thirty unknown or hardly-known authors have an extra spotlight shone on their work.
In 2019, for the first time, a new Prix Orange du Livre is being held in Africa to promote young, French speaking African authors.

Bringing together a broad community of readers with lecteurs.com. The sharing and dissemination of the riches of literature revolves around this site with a broad community of enthusiastic readers who are able to express themselves. lecteurs.com highlights our favourite latest items of literary news, such as the young authors of our Prix Orange du Livre, proposes the great classics in digital versions, encourages exchanges and debates between readers....

Helping the excluded through reading

In 2019, for the first time the Foundation Orange is supporting educational and cultural programmes involving reading, organised by fairs or literary festivals for those with no access to books for economic, social or geographical reasons: school children from underprivileged areas, people in hospital, prisoners, those excluded on social or geographical grounds, young people seeking integration…32 new projects were thus rolled out in 2019 to give these groups access to reading!

Because reading helps to develop skills and self-confidence and can help with social inclusiveness, we have chosen to support actions to raise awareness of reading and stimulate the desire to read: encounters, readings, mediation, events, workshops, creations, exchanges…
