“I didn’t talk until very late, but I started music theory when I was three and a half. Music is an ideal language for people with autism - we don’t instinctively turn to words, but our minds are teeming with connections. For the past two years, with the support of the organisation Plumeria, I’ve been forming an orchestra made up of musicians who have autism or who are “autism-friendly,” with the goal of changing society’s perspective: “le Fol ensemble.” Like us, some of our instruments are conventional and others aren’t.
“Saying” things doesn’t interest us much. That’s why we needed a “Boost” to help publicise our work and organise our concerts. We are awarding him 15,000 euros to fund his project.
A “Boost” to support integration for people with autism
We want to help people with high-functioning autism, who lack social awareness, by providing access to financial support or the skills they need. Musicians, stylists, authors, therapists... Exceptional talents that just need a little boost to succeed professionally.
A “Boost” for a new beginning!
