Everything for music this summer!

For music fans, it’s always a thrill to enjoy live music in front of a stage and share their favourites with friends. Like every summer, we are in tune with the times and are making music accessible to all, in all our regions. Festivals everywhere, for all tastes and lots more...

23 festivals this summer!

Artists from all over the world gathered in hanging gardens in Normandy, Baroque music in a Romanesque church, an opera in an ancient theatre, cradled by the gentle warmth of evenings in the south of France. These musical dreams will come true all over France. The festival season is starting and music can be heard everywhere in France! To make sure that everybody can enjoy it, we are once again sponsoring more than 23 festivals this year. The idea is simple: to bring music to as many people as possible, while supporting groups and artists.

"Our public is very diversified and includes people living in rural areas, holiday makers, families, well-informed music lovers and the simply curious!"
Enrique Thérain, Director of the Les Musicales festival in Normandy

From Beaune and its festival of Baroque and Romantic opera to Marseille, which swings to the sound of jazz from the five continents, and the Messiaen festival that has them dancing to Russian music in the Hautes-Alpes, we have a real musical ’Tour de France’ to look forward to. Recognised as a sort of label by the world of music after 30 years of sponsorship, our support includes classical music, jazz festivals and world music, from the best known to the most recent and daring.

Festivals... and live opera in the open air and at the cinema!

In addition to the festivals, we also encourage the broadcasting and accessibility of music in other forms, for groups of people who do not have easy access: if you cannot get to the concerts and operas offered at these festivals, we invite you to enjoy the music in cinemas or free-of-charge in the open air, in parks and public squares. We are in fact the leading corporate sponsor of live broadcasts of opera in public places: in 2017, 165,000 people saw our live broadcasts of operas.
On 7 and 18 June, the operas Boris Godounov by Moussorgski and Don Pasquale by Donizetti will be broadcast live from the Paris Opera to more than 300 cinemas in France and abroad.

30 years of helping young vocalists

Alongside our activities in support of festivals and making music widely available, for 30 years we also been providing year-round help to groups of young people for whom we are often the leading sponsor:

"Every year, we select around sixty projects according to the criteria of artistic quality, originality and sphere of influence and we support them while they get established in the musical landscape. "
Marie-Sophie Calot de Lardemelle, Director of Musical Sponsorship at the Orange Foundation.
