FabLabs show solidarity with Orange stores

Since last week, several Solidarity FabLabs from the Foundation have been producing protective visors for employees working in Orange stores.

The aim is to allow Orange to reopen its stores in the best conditions possible for the health and safety of the employees and customers alike.
The operation follows the production of visors by the Solidarity FabLabs for healthcare workers, which gave Orange employees the idea to call on the Solidarity FabLabs for their return to work.

The figures so far:

  • 1,000 visors for stores in Paris and its suburbs have been delivered
  • 220 visors produced by two Solidarity FabLabs have been delivered to the 38 stores in the Eastern region
  • 170 visors produced by the La Machinerie FabLab in Amiens for stores in the Northern region and 40 produced by the Tiers Lieux de Fourmies FabLab
  • 800 visors produced by the Tunis Solidarity FabLab for stores in Tunisia
  • 700 visors produced by the Ongola FabLab for stores in Yaoundé, Cameroon

All these digital solidarity manufacturers are partners supported by the Orange Foundation, so the visors are either sold to the Orange stores at cost price (€3) or provided free of charge.
It is worth noting that in the Northern region, 200 visors were also produced by Orange employees at the FabLab.
