Geoffroy Fourgeaud: "solidarity is in Orange’s DNA"

Geoffroy Fourgeaud is the Human Resources Director for the Orange Group’s South East Regional Division. He explains the importance of the values of solidarity within the group.

Orange is a company where solidarity is more than just a word. A lot of companies use it as a marketing ploy, but solidarity is part of Orange’s DNA. That’s something you see right away when you come from outside the Group to take a job like mine.

The spirit of solidarity takes different forms:

  • Offering employees the chance to spend the final years of their careers doing skills philanthropy for local organisations.
  •

  • Giving young employees the chance to meet other young people from outside the company... and share the experience they have acquired at Orange (a digital company with vast expertise in using digital technology). Orange strives to be a "digital and human employer". It’s part of our corporate strategy.
  •

  • Some of our employees are very involved with charitable organisations and submit those organisations’ projects for funding from the Foundation, through its call for projects (our division supported 8 employees’ projects in the first half of 2015).

Here at the Orange South East Regional Division, we are focused on our ability to help with individual challenges or tackle challenges together for solidarity week.

I wish this wonderful international week of solidarity every success.

Geoffroy Fourgeaud.
