Hélène and Marjolaine, comic book creators

Hélène, aged 31, and Marjolaine, aged 23, have autism. After 20 years of silence (she is non-verbal), Hélène learned to write and at long last could express her thoughts. Marjolaine has been drawing since she was 5 years old.
These talented young women met thanks to the Espace Kiêthon organisation. They aim to produce a comic book, “Emar dans la savane” (Emar in the savannah), written by Hélène and illustrated by Marjolaine. They have professional support, and need a “Boost” and some equipment to submit their work to their publisher.
This intense comic book illustrates the way they see the world, a rich vision brimming with intelligence, poetry, humour and mystery.
We are awarding them 6,500 euros to fund their project.

A “Boost” to support integration for people with autism

We want to help people with high-functioning autism, who lack social awareness, by providing access to financial support or the skills they need. Musicians, stylists, authors, therapists... Exceptional talents that just need a little boost to succeed professionally.
A “Boost” for a new beginning!
