Philippe Jaroussky musical academy

Artistic Director: Philippe Jaroussky

Through the creation of his Musical Academy in 2017, Philippe Jaroussky wanted to raise awareness, train and support around fifty young singers and instrumentalists long-term who did not necessarily have the technical or financial resources to perform classical music.

The Academy has 2 categories:

  • “The apprentices”, 22 children from 7-12 years old who receive practical instrument training for 3 years (piano, violin, cello).
  • “The young talents”, 27 young people from 18 to 25 years old who receive in-depth training (piano, violin, cello or voice) and support to find a job.

The students take part in masterclasses and perform concerts.
The Academy is in residence at Seine Musicale Île Seguin.
