Photo reportage on the construction of the school in the village of Mudusa

In the Orange Village of Mudusa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the construction of the primary school has been going well thanks to the on-site support from the association SOS Enfants. Indeed, after having finished construction on the hospital, our teams have been busy working since the end of April to build the primary school so that it could open its doors in time for the start of the new school year.

The main difficulty was working on sloping ground.

The earthwork and the settlement of foundations thus needed a considerable workforce.

In June, the walls were already being raised.

Everybody was excited to see the school open.

The start of the new school year was looming when the tables and benches could be sent to Mudusa.

On the first day of the school year, the families and children were rushing to be welcomed and taught at the school.

The opening of the school was eagerly awaited and there are no fewer than 269 school children including 143 girls!
