Sarah Bouchrara: providing purpose

Sarah Bouchrara leads a team of nine people within the Marketing and Communication department at Orange Tunisia. Taking advantage of the volunteering week, which she took part in with some of her colleagues, she was eager to respond to some of our questions.

What does it mean to you to be a socially responsible company? And how does digital technology play a part?

For me a socially responsible company is a company which considers its purpose. It develops its business perspective by incorporating this data and its impact on its own ecosystem, society, the environment... to become profitable AND socially responsible.
We have the opportunity to be a company at the heart of digital activity and digital technology is now changing the world. We must promote these technologies so that everyone can develop their potential, regardless of where they were born, particularly here in Africa and in Tunisia. And this also includes the volunteer employees!

What does the international solidarity week mean to you, and why did you want to get involved?

This international solidarity week is an excellent opportunity to discover different associations and support them in the field. It allows employees to learn about and assist a specific association. I didn’t want to miss this opportunity!

Thank you to everyone for this wonderful week and we will see you next year, but we will keep working throughout the year on projects to improve solidarity... through digital technology!
