The Aedes vocal ensemble

Artistic Director: Matthieu Romano

The Aedes ensemble, founded in 2005 by Matthieu Romano, performs both major and minor works from the choral repertoire of the past five centuries, including contemporary creations. The ensemble, which includes sixteen to thirty-two professional singers, depending on the programme, features a cappella cycles in addition to performances with orchestras and accompanied by piano or organ. It also highlights 20th century and contemporary music. Aedes works with prestigious orchestras, including Musiciens du Louvre and le Cercle de l’Harmonie.

Supported by the Orange Foundation from 2009 to 2014.
