The Khan Academy in French: 1 million users!

The Khan Academy, created in 2004 by Salman Khan, is the world’s leading online learning platform. The French version, launched in 2014 with our support, currently has 1 million users!

On Wednesday 16 March, Bibliothèque sans frontière hosted an initial review of the French-language Khan Academy’s results. The event provided the perfect opportunity to announce that the platform already has one million users! An encouraging figure that comes over a year after the official launch and more than three years after the initial French translations of English content.

We have supported the platform’s development since 2012, particularly the translation of content and exercises. The French-language version of the Khan Academy now features over 2,500 videos on different science topics, ranging from primary to university level. 11,384 coaches, 18,128 parents and 107,250 pupils have registered.
