Even though FabLabs are, in theory, open to everyone, there are still some obstacles to overcome. Young people from sensitive neighbourhoods do not tend to go to FabLabs. The Solidarity FabLab in Strasbourg welcomes these young people for workshops. Instead of being theory-based, these workshops focus on practical work. It is a great opportunity for them to discover the potential of digital manufacturing.
