UNAPEI & the Orange Foundation: a flourishing partnership at the service of autism

After equipping the Departmental Association for the Parents and Friends of the Mentally Disabled (ADAPEI 17) with 11 tablets, the Orange Foundation, represented by Jean-Pierre Lartigue (Orange Regional Manager), judges their use very satisfactory.

"The 10 young people with autism really bought into this new tool, which is now an integral part of their daily lives", says Sonia Ahehehinnou, one of the Directors of the ADAPEI. The visual dynamic of the tablets and learning applications that use pictograms and photos has stimulated communications and exchanges between these young people.

The digital dynamic driving progress

But that is not all these young people managed to do with their tablets!
As agreed with the Orange Foundation, the ADAPEI also had the young people equipped with tablets test teaching applications to evaluate them on applications-autisme.com, the leading collaborative site to list applications for people with autism.

A collaborative approach between Foundation, start-ups, disabled specialists… and users

The Foundation’s commitment alongside UNAPEI is delivering on its promise and…the participative nature of the applications-autisme.com site is now a reality: 1,200 users contribute to the listings and evaluations on this site developed by Auticiel, which already lists 228 learning applications for people with autism.
