The involvement of Orange employees throughout the world massively extends our action in support of digital solidarity. At the Foundation, we encourage employees to volunteer on projects which create a social connection in our three fields of action: digital education, healthcare and culture.
8,000 Group employees have become involved in humanitarian and social causes.
How to get involved?
Orange teams in many countries have developed employee volunteer programs. In Botswana and Poland, for example, with more than 2,000 employees are volonteers. In France, employees are encouraged to offer their free time to the Orange Solidarity association. This contributes to fighting the digital divide by coaching associations on how to use digital tools: in 2014, Orange employees set up 1900 digital training workshops for over 8000 beneficiaries. Another opportunity is the Volunteers for people with Autism (VA) association in France.
Orange employees reaffirm their involvement
Each year, we organise events to promote, recognise, encourage and thank the company’s men and women who have made a commitment to help people in difficulty. This is an opportunity to present the organisations supported by the Orange Foundation in France and worldwide.
In 2016, we are encouraging Orange employees to commit as volunteers to help children, young people and women in difficulty. The commitment is totally voluntary and can take several forms.
