Young people with autism to get a holiday cottage!

Wilderness surrounds the building. The terraces and the lawn (still new) invite you to relax... A new holiday cottage has opened, right by the famous Tronçais Forest in Allier, a few kilometres from Montluçon.
CASA LNA is its name - it’s a holiday cottage for young people with autism.

Open all year round in Chazemais, CASA LNA (the Allier Sésame Autism Centre for Leisure, Nature and Activities), welcomes young people on holiday for a weekend or a day trip. It offers specially adapted stays, some of which can be individually tailored by support workers and families.

The project started in 2014 and was developed by Allier Sésame Autisme and its president Christine Meignien. At the inauguration, local representatives and the deputy prefect were present to pay tribute to this impressive achievement. The cottage was funded by several partners, including the Orange Foundation.

This tourist accommodation features 8 rooms, 2 lounges, a dining room and 2 activities rooms including a relaxation room. Soon, it will also add a pool and a mini-farm. The young people with autism visiting the cottage will also have the chance to get out and about, with a number of activities led by professionals: rides in a horse-drawn carriage, canoeing, horse riding...

Well-being, autonomy, communication, and socialisation are the objectives for a stay at the cottage, which several families have already enjoyed!
