From June 25 to 26, 2022
Botwana, Gabarone -

The Gaborone Alliance Française is collaborating with 40 artists straight from Botswana, South Africa and Zimbabwe to share their musical talents with their audience over the Music Day Celebration, during which more than 15 unique performances will be given.

Burkina Faso, Ougadougou -

An Orange Foundation discovery, Kandy Guira performed at our last Nuit de la Voix in November 2021 at Radio France. Today, the Foundation is sponsoring her concert tour in Burkina Faso around her new album ‘Nagtaba in Africa’ which means ‘Together with Africa’ and Kandy will be accompanied by DJ Ordoeuvre and musicians from Burkina Faso: bassists, percussionists and many others.


Waga Hip Hop


From October 14 to 16, 2022
Burkina Faso, Ougadougou -

Waga Hip Hop transcends borders by uniting energies, locally and internationally and bringing together nearly 16,000 people each year. Through Waga Hip Hop, Umané Culture would like to offer audiences an accessible, high-quality artistic event, while creating a meeting platform for musicians and performers with artists such as Flora Konati Pare, IAziz Montana, a singer-songwriter or ASSY, a Mandinka folk and blues singer with Latin and salsa influences.



Rap en Live

From April 13 to December 11, 2022
Burkina Faso, Bobo Dioulasoo -

Rap en Live (Live Rap) is a concept launched in 2017 which offers young artists the opportunity to express their talent in 100% Live shows to the rhythm of modern and traditional instruments. The festival enables young Rappers and Toasters from Burkina Faso and in particular Bobo Dioulasoo, to launch the Flow on stage supported by professional instrumentalists.




From November 24 to 27, 2022
Cameroon, Douala -

DOMAF, is a meeting between urban cultures from the Central African sub-region. During these 4 days, the city of Douala will welcome a varied audience, with 40 music concerts, dance shows, fashion shows and art exhibitions. In 2022, you’ll discover artists such as Spido, Mosayane, Rinyu, Nicaise Teossock, Nda Chi, Jovi and plenty of others…



Africa Jamming Festival

From October 31 to November 2, 2022
Côte d’Ivoire, Yopougon -

Africa Jamming Festival is a festival founded in 2016 which highlights the talent of Ivorian and African musicians around a music platform and a festival organized in Abidjan with 12 concerts hosting 45 scheduled artists.




From December 22 to 29, 2022
Guinea, Fria -

FRISTIVAL, or the Festival of Fria will celebrate its 7th edition in December in the city of Fria in Guinea. On the program: 8 days of celebration with free open air shows, a craft fair, training courses, workshops and 5 major concerts with 11 groups, pro artists as well as 50 amateur musicians. The Orange Foundation is renewing its partnership for the third year with this major festival that brings together over 100,000 people.




September 2022 to March 2023
Mali, Bamako -

The Bamako International Festival of Slam and Humor enables Malian women, young people and students to take part in slam writing workshops for several months from September. It will end in March with 5 Hip Hop, Slam and Rap concerts bringing together over 50 professional and amateur artists from Mali, Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire.



International Nomads Festival

From October 28 to 30, 2022

The International Nomads Festival is a large free annual musical event that takes place in the Moroccan Sahara. It’s also a citizen event that creates a connection between traditional modes of expression and contemporary professional creations in order to spread and enable access to culture and music in a region where artistic events are rare.


Visa For Music 2022


From November 16 to 19, 2022
Morocco, Rabat -

The African music scene is buzzing and inspiring, rich and creative. However, artists from Africa and the Middle East lack visibility at international level. As a result, Visa For Music emerged in 2014 in Rabat. In 2022, the festival will welcome 30 talented young groups and artists with 26 showcases and 4 live concerts at the Théâtre National Mohamed V. Visa For Music is also a huge professional market of African and Middle Eastern music.



Ti-Î Festival

From July 15 to 17, 2022
Central African Republic, Bangui -

The ‘Ti-Î FESTIVAL’, which means ‘OUR FESTIVAL’ is dedicated to promoting music and artists from the Central African Republic and the African continent. On the program: 6 concerts and more than 20 artists will perform traditional, world and urban music.

Democratic Republic of Congo, Lubumbashi; Likasi et Kolwezi -

DYNAMUZIK ASBL is organizing the new Maadini Music Festival (formerly LUBUM HIP HOP FESTIVAL). An edition combining new stages and headliners in the DRC and internationally with the presence of artists such as NOMCEBO coming from South Africa, LOUS & THE YAKUZA who are Belgian-Congolese, TOOFAN from Togo, LOKUA KANZA from the DRC and ALESH, the winner of the 2021 RFI Discovery Prize.

The Kaolack International Festival of Hiphop Arts and Urban Cultures

From June 1 to 5, 2022
Senegal, Kaolack

The Kaolack International Festival of Hiphop Arts and Urban Cultures gives priority to young talent who do not have the means to make themselves known to the general public. 50 rap and hip hop groups will be selected to take part in concerts.

Senegal, Guédiawaye -

Each year, the festival brings together young people for six days around hip hop cultural activities and citizen initiatives around multiple concerts as well as conferences, art workshops and awareness raising. On the program: 5 concerts including 2 at the Ndiarme stadium and over 30 artists scheduled, with the aim of bringing the suburbs to life via urban culture, promoting young talent and enabling them to meet seasoned national and international professionals and artists.

Tunisie, Archaeological Site of Dougga -

The Dougga International Festival in partnership with Akacia Productions is converging towards the creation of a brand new festival: TUNES OF DOUGGA, Alternative Arab Music Festival. On the program: 10 artists (4 headliners and 6 emerging artists), 8 concerts at the Capitole and Théâtre Romain, and, as an exclusive, the organization of an immersive, historical treasure hunt in the Dougga ruins.

Tunisia, Kasserine -

The Kasserine Youth Festival is dedicated to young talent: it’s an opportunity for them to meet professional artists and perform before a large audience in Kasserine. On the program: 10 open air traditional and contemporary Tunisian music concerts in Kasserine, Feriena and Thala.



Tabarka Sky Lantern Festival

From June 23 to 25, 2022
Tunisia, Tabarka -

The Tabarka Sky Lantern Festival adventure began in 2015 and is a large open air festival today, by the sea, which lasts three days combining musical and cultural activities. On the program: Tabarka Got Talent, Chawchara, Sabri Mosbeh, Jaz Oil, Laazara Live Band and plenty of others.
